Abstract

As much as the writer has learned in breaking story, the first draft will still be a journey of discovery. This chapter explores Attitude, Strategies, and Tricks to facilitate the writer’s process in pounding out an initial take on the story. Special emphasis is given to writing from a feeling, not thinking place, approaching each writing session as a living experience. The key: Getting in touch with each character and their respective psychological states for every scene the writer undertakes. Embrace the concept of letting the characters drive the process.
